Gateway Radiology is a physician-owned and -operated outpatient imaging, diagnostic, and interventional radiology center committed to providing the finest and most comprehensive medical services to patients throughout the Pinellas Park, Florida, area. We began serving the community in 1975, as the preferred radiology reading group for Northside Hospital. In 2008, we grew our practice into an Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF). This allowed us to become a leading source for referrals from primary care physicians in the area, as we could complete most standard diagnostic services in our Pinellas Park clinic. In 2016, we opened up a second clinic in Pinellas Park to provide interventional radiology services in addition to diagnostic testing. We are now the premier outpatient vein and vascular center for patients in Mid and South Pinellas, providing quick answers and first-class treatment.
We are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for mammography, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), and breast MRI. We are led by Dr. Gagandeep Mangat, M.D., and Dr. Vimal H. Patel, M.D., two board-certified neuroradiologists who prioritize patient care above everything else. In fact, this is the core of our business. We conservatively treat each patient by only performing what is classified as a medical necessity. What’s more, our radiologists work hand-in-hand with our patients’ primary physicians, always keeping them up to date on procedures and testing performed.

As a full-service interventional radiology center found within Pinellas Park, we perform a wide array of interventional radiology services, including stent placements for peripheral vascular disease (PVD), PICC lines, and ports; biopsies; Kyphoplasty; and epidural steroid injections (ESI).
Our diagnostic medical facilities offer digital X-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms, and DXA bone density scans. Our Pinellas Park location takes diagnostic imaging one step further by offering even more advanced services, including nuclear medicine, PET scans, and 64-slice CT scans. This facility also has the 3 Tesla MRI machine, which is neurologically superior to the 1.5 Tesla machine that most other imaging centers use. The 3 Tesla magnet ensures the best imaging results for patients who have neurological concerns for mild traumatic brain injuries, concussion-like symptoms, and other brain issues.
